Individual coaching: from good to great
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure." - Marianne Williamson, author
Coaching is a two-way street. You choose me, I choose you. Could I be the right coach for you?
This is what my ideal client looks like:
I love working with people who are powerful beyond measure - but perhaps still need to learn to accept and manage this power. I work with people who want to authentically express themselves in the world.
My clients come from all sorts of backgrounds - small business owners and employees of large financial institutions, lawyers, investor relations specialists, strategy consultants, media, PR and events specialists. I've worked with employees of The Financial Services Authority, Standard & Poors, MTV, NHS, Aviva, independent contractors and people running their businesses. Clients come from a variety of countries, such as India, Argentina, Israel, Russia, UK, USA and others.
One thing most of my clients have in common is that they tend to be Highly Sensitive People (HSP) who want to have a successful career or business build on their true nature - highly intuitive and compassionate, interested in people and deeply caring. You can take a little test to determine if you are one of them! If you are not an HSP, but still curious about working together, do get in touch - we might still find a way to collaborate, or I might be able to recommend a great coach for you!
I typically work with clients who:
- feel stuck in their career progress, and are ready for a substantial challenge, promotion and pay rise - but lack confidence to do it in their own authentic way;
- are ready to make the leap into more fulfilling work, but need help clarifying what that is;
- know what they want to do, but need support in transitioning into a new career;
- get easily overwhelmed at work and tend to take other people's problems on themselves, so that they have to withdraw socially for weeks, and feel this as a main obstacle for career or business progress.
What I want for my clients:
I want you to completely transform your life. I'm not here for a minor improvement, like the salary raise, which you can totally do yourself. I love to challenge my clients, so that they become ambitious about their careers, businesses or lives - and build them on who they truly are - immensely powerful and capable human beings.
Are you coachable?
Coaching can be a great tool if a coach and a client are a right match. It can also be a costly entertainment if they are not, or the client isn't ready for coaching in this point in time. To check if you are coachable, I suggest you take this short test.
As a rule of thumb, if you think that you can be pretty amazing with the right help, you are probably in the right place. Even if you are not sure yet what "pretty amazing" means.
How we will work:
We are likely to spend some time agreeing how we will work together, discussing your goals and the best way, in which I can support you if things get difficult (they sometimes do). We'll conduct a special "discovery" session in the beginning of our work that is designed to help us build a powerful relationship.
There are several support packages available to individual clients, based on their needs, residence and financial situation. I usually ask for at least 3 months commitment, although a typical coaching relationship lasts for anything between 3 to 12 months.
A typical package might include assessment of client needs and all areas of your life, several in-person coaching sessions, phone/Skype/email support between the sessions, assistance with preparation for jobs interviews or CV or client pitches if you are a business owner. A client would typically come with one particular question, but we will look at all areas of your life, because when you are working on one issue, other are likely to shift, too!
I also work in collaboration with nutrition specialists, personal trainers and a range of other highly qualified international helping professionals, so that my clients get an opportunity to completely reboot their lives. Coaching can be intense at times, and so you will need energy to go through the changes. I will be able to advise you on the suitable package that I think might work for you once we've had a chat about your personal objectives and circumstances.
I typically conduct a few monthly sessions over the phone, Skype or in person in London. Sometimes I love to meet my clients in the nature or take a walk together around the city. However, with most clients I work over Skype. My working hours are generally flexible, and depend on the clients needs.
I do ask to schedule meetings in advance, and prefer not to have them rescheduled as this intervenes with our work.
I also offer one and two-day private intensive coaching programmes in beautiful locations around the world. They are highly limited and are targeted towards high achieving busy people who want fast results for their career or business.
The cost of an individual coaching program will vary between £750 and £4,500 and the program will typically last between 3 and 9 months (so the price starts from £250 per month). It will depend on your personal situation, objectives, type and intensity of the support you need etc. You can pay the amount in full or in monthly installments.
For group programs, sign up for my newsletters, and I'll let you know when the new one comes up!
Where to start:
Many coaches offer free coaching sample sessions. I sometimes do that, too, but normally only with people I know personally and who I am sure will benefit from my coaching. If I don't know you in person, but I have space for new individual clients, I am likely to suggest a quick 15 minutes chat about your circumstances to check whether I can help, rather than a classic complimentary coaching session. Based on that conversation, I can offer to explore further and go for a sample session or refer you to someone else.
This conversation is a very casual one and doesn't require any commitment from you - so feel free to get in touch if you think we might be a good match or you are curious to learn more about coaching.
If individual coaching feels like too much of an investment for you in this moment in time, but you still would love to work together, group work (either online or live) can be a suitable alternative. Drop me a line describing your situation, and when the next group comes up, I will let you know!
